If you do not have a relationship with our Heavenly Father you must first recognize what is keeping you from this relationship with Him. Sin is the main thing that keeps us from God. To sin is to miss the mark and wander away from the laws of God. Below are a few more things to consider so that you are clear about how to have a relationship with God.
First: Acknowledge that you are a sinner…
- Romans 3:23 “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God”. (NKJV)
- 1 John 1:8 “If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.” (NKJV)
Second: Turn from your sins and believe in the One who the Father sent. Jesus Christ died on the cross for you. Through Him your sins are forgiven and you receive the gift of eternal life.
- Acts 3:19 “Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord,” (NKJV)
- John 14:6 “Jesus said unto him, ‘I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man comes to the Father, but by me.’ ” (NKJV)
- Romans 5:8 “But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” (NKJV)
- John 20:31 “But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in His name.” (NKJV)
Third: Believe in Jesus with your heart.
- Romans 10 “If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” (NKJV)
- John 1:12 “But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name…” (NKJV)
Now if you have truly considered all that you have read above and would like to have the GREATEST RELATIONSHIP EVER!
Pray this prayer to the Father: LORD I BELIEVE THAT YOU SENT YOUR SON TO DIE ON THE CROSS FOR MY SINS. I BELIEVE THAT YOU RAISED HIM FROM THE DEAD. I TURN FROM MY SINS TO YOU AND ACCEPT JESUS IN MY HEART.
If you prayed this prayer, the Bible says in Luke 15:10 “Likewise, I say to you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents.”
That means that all of heaven is glad to have you in the family!!!
